The scenario

The ideal employee in the right place at the right time

Mercer Stendal produces around 740,000 tons of pulp every year in Arneburg - an important raw material in the manufacture of paper products. The technology alone requires around 100 employees working 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Precise and flexible staff planning is required to ensure that the ideal employee is always in the right place at the right time. It is important to take into account not only the skills and availability of employees, but also special events such as maintenance work or last-minute changes due to illness or downtime. Until now, all of this was associated with a lot of manual effort.

The solution

Real-time planning thanks to Salesforce Field Service

Today, Mercer Stendal benefits from fully automated workforce scheduling, which the experts at Arlanis Reply have implemented with the help of Salesforce Field Service. Thanks to ongoing data synchronization, the new solution reacts to changes in real time and always takes into account all organizational and labour law requirements. In addition, the system is constantly learning and adapting to Mercer Stendal's needs. If necessary, the planning can also be easily adjusted manually via a visual interface. Arlanis Reply's solution thus combines flexibility and simplification and makes it effortless:
