The challenge
To develop a user-friendly order-entry portal for agents, ensuring an integrated and scalable management system.
Anest Iwata, a leader in painting equipment and compressed air systems, sought an intuitive and scalable solution to optimise order management across its sales network. Agents relied on disparate methods for order submission, including emails, phone calls, and a legacy web portal tied to an outdated ERP system. This fragmented approach led to inefficiencies and inconsistencies.
The goal was clear: simplify and accelerate order entry to enable agents to work more efficiently while maintaining data consistency and integrity within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. This cloud-based ERP solution is designed to streamline finance, operations, supply chain, and production management.
To meet Anest Iwata's operational needs, Cluster Reply developed a dedicated Power App portal for order entry, fully integrated with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations via Dual Write. This integration platform enables near real-time, bidirectional data synchronisation between the ERP system (D365 F&O) and the Power App.The solution ensures data integrity while adhering to the business rules configured in Dynamics 365, which remains the central system for managing data and pricing. The portal is streamlined to display only essential information, with user management centralised within Dynamics 365 F&O, eliminating redundancy risks.
Within just eight months, the new app facilitated the entry of over 2,500 orders, encompassing more than 10,000 products, with seamless deliveries to 10 countries. The solution demonstrated remarkable reliability, improving the speed and accuracy of data entry, significantly boosting operational efficiency, and enhancing the agents’ overall experience.
Thanks to the Microsoft Power Platform-based solution introduced by Cluster Reply, Anest Iwata streamlined workflows and adopted a more cost-effective platform fully integrated with its existing infrastructure. Key benefits include:
