THE CHALLENGE

Create an e-commerce platform to enable a new online shopping experience and strengthen the interaction between GEDI and its readers.

SCENARIO

Engage more closely with readers

In the digital age, it is essential for media companies to establish increasingly direct contact with consumers, to respond more effectively to their needs and strengthen their relationship with their audience. GEDI, one of the main Italian media companies, recognising this need, has decided to adopt a new approach to interact more closely with its readers, offering them the opportunity to buy Repubblica books and series not only on newsstands, but also from the comfort of their home, through an online store.
The initiative aimed to meet the needs of the readers of Repubblica and Repubblica.it, offering advantageous promotions and targeted cross-selling strategies. The goal was to reward customer loyalty, offering them a more modern, fluid and digital shopping experience.

THE SOLUTION

A low-code/no-code e-commerce portal

Syskoplan Reply then developed an e-commerce platform for GEDI based on Shopware, a solution that allowed the company to quickly launch a modern and functional website, Repubblica Bookshop. The project was guided by a product-driven approach, which made it possible to take full advantage of Shopware's native functionality, minimising customisations and accelerating time-to-market.

The platform implemented by Syskoplan Reply not only meets GEDI's immediate needs, but is also scalable to support future expansions to other brands in the group. The low-code and no-code solutions used, such as Shopware Rule Builder and Shopware Flow Builder, have further simplified development and customisation, allowing GEDI to focus on optimising the user experience and activating effective cross-sell and up-sell strategies.

THE RESULTS
