THE CHALLENGE

Adapt to new standards and integrate sustainability into the business strategy to ensure an increasingly conscious growth aligned with the company's principles.

SCENARIO

Between textile tradition and new market dynamics

Zucchi, emblem of Italian style in the textile sector, has built its reputation on the quality and elegance of its products. With a business rooted in Italy and extended to France, the company offers a wide range of household products, distributed through both online and offline channels, including owned and franchised stores. Faced with new sustainability needs and changed market dynamics, Zucchi recognised the need to renew its procurement model. This scenario presented itself as an opportunity to integrate sustainability into the core business, initiating a path of alignment with emerging regulations and strengthening the involvement of interested stakeholders.

The solution

A sustainable procurement model

In response to market challenges and regulations in the field of sustainability, Zucchi, with the support of Reply Consulting, has rethought its procurement model through three main phases.

Enhancing
sustainability

Update of business criteria to align with CSRD-ESRS standards, integrating ESG values into procurement processes and improving traceability and transparency in the supply chain.

Picture

Positive
engagement

Creation and implementation of an engagement model to evaluate sustainability separated by type of supplier and supply. This has included the development of questionnaires and feedback mechanisms to ensure continuous improvement in sustainable practices.

HOW DID WE DO IT

Continuous comparison on procurement and ESG

The strategy adopted by Zucchi and Reply Consulting focused on the in-depth analysis of the various existing procurement processes to identify and classify suppliers by type and volume. The assessment activity has therefore made it possible to identify areas for improvement both from a point of view of general governance of the process and from an operational point of view, introducing clear KPIs related to sustainability ESRS.

Workshops were organised with internal teams, a useful tool for raising awareness about sustainability and training on new procedures to be adopted. The model designed can achieve a dual purpose: to allow more immediate sustainability reporting that is already compliant with regulations, to define an ESG rating system, highlighting deviations from the regulations and the reference standard for Zucchi.

The effective integration of sustainability

Through the sustainable evolution of procurement, Zucchi wants to take another step in its growth path, strengthening its brand identity and market positioning, actively promoting sustainability as an integral part of its business strategy, in order to guarantee various benefits.

Optimisation of processes

The review and adjustment of procurement processes will lead to greater efficiency and a reduction in environmental impact.

Improving compliance

Adopting the sustainable procurement model will support compliance with CSRD and ESRS regulations, strengthening stakeholder confidence.

Added value for the supply chain

Sustainability initiatives will improve relationships with suppliers, creating a stronger and more responsible network.
