Increase the production capacity of development teams

Low-code Development Platforms are pieces of software that provide a development environment used to create application software, through graphical user interfaces and configuration, increasing the production capacity of development teams by reducing traditional hand-coded computer programming.

It is in this context that so-called ‘Citizen Developers’ thrive. The Citizen Developer is defined as an end user, internal to the company but external to the IT Team, capable of independently building departmental, enterprise and even public applications, all in a secure context approved by the corporate IT Department.

Reply recommends two approaches which vary based on the impact on the organisational structure.

Tactical approach - Platform Engagement

Takes 6 to 8 weeks and consists of the adoption of a Low Code platform to develop applications that “have a life of their own”, without a strong or pervasive impact on the business organisation.

Strategic approach - Hyperautomation

Consists of the implementation of an LC platform that goes hand in hand with other solutions, such as automation, within a broader perspective of streamlining and innovating both internal and external processes, all the way to the end customer.
