From factory floor to cloud: Scaling manufacturing data

Data Reply together with Siemens present a comprehensive yet simple methodology for designing and implementing data products at large scale that has proven highly effective within Siemens "One Tech Company" strategy. The strategy is based on three principles:

Data-as-a-product: Applying product thinking to domain-oriented data is one of the four key elements of Data Mesh and transforms the way data is treated within large organizations.
Event-driven integration: Important things are happening within (and outside) Siemens all the time - let's capture them all in a meaningful way.
Shift left, but think from the right: Rather than beginning with available data sources, we start with specific use cases and work backward to define generalized, high-quality data products and their boundaries.

Siemens will cover the attributes of data products that scale and why we need them in a "One Tech Company", then line up the prerequisites in form of an in-depth sociotechnic landscape, and finally provide a practical example from the manufacturing domain to demonstrate how to lead a team towards an actionable data product map that will sustainably transform their data landscape.

This session is essential for architects, leaders, and developers working on large-scale data initiatives.
