Network X, one of the most important events of the European telecommunications industry, will take place from October 8th to 10th, 2024, in Paris, and we are excited to announce our participation as supporters and contributors to the Broadband Forum (BBF) Innovation Demonstrations, the leading industry consortium for defining broadband access network standards.

In collaboration with other Principal Members of the BBF, we will demonstrate how AI/ML techniques can be used to correlate multiple alarm events coming from access network devices, potentially linked to a common root cause.

This system will simplify and accelerate the recognition of complex, multi-device faults, enabling an immediate response to customers and restoring a broadband service as quickly as possible.

The Demostration

Net Reply, leveraging its expertise in broadband access networks and the use of AI/ML techniques applied to the telecommunications network domain, contributed as an advisor for the definition of the use case and the development of the applications necessary for the demonstration.

The demo is based on the open-source BBF Open Broadband-CloudCO Application Software Development Kit (OB-CAS) framework, which aims to create a standard framework for managing AI/ML applications. It will provide developers with the ability to reduce the complexity of integrating their software applications into an access network environment based on the BBF CloudCO architecture.

Based on BBF standards and existing open-source projects, this initiative will help operators to simplify the configuration and control operations of their broadband access network through automated and intelligent management and open the network to the usage of multi-vendor solutions.
