Successful Core Bank Migration at UmweltBank AG

Change of the existing core banking system PASS to agree21 with focus on regulation and digitalization.

The Challenge

As a pioneer in sustainable banking, UmweltBank faced the challenges of complex regulation, increased customer requirements and the exploitation of growth opportunities in the digital age in order to realign its IT systems. UmweltBank therefore made the strategic decision to migrate its entire banking business model to a modern core banking process.

In addition to bank-specific processes and their digital realignment internally and vis-à-vis customers, the migration of the core banking process in the banking environment must comply with regulatory and current regulatory requirements and obligations.

The Solution

With the introduction of Atruvia AG's innovative technologies, the Fincon Reply project team provided support in the implementation of the agree21 core banking process and in the preparation for migration. Further consulting services during the project concerned the development of workflow-oriented business processes, operational support during the migration implementation and the stabilization phase as well as the competence development of internal employees. Fincon Reply developed tailor-made solutions that not only enabled UmweltBank to optimize its current market standards, but also to maintain its environmentally friendly principles.

The Approach

Fincon Reply supported the project implementation from kick-off through parameterization to go-live and currently beyond in the post-migration phase. In addition to the data migration and testing towards Atruvia AG, the project team also provided support in the complex securities migration to the network partners DZ-Bank and dwp bank. In the sub-projects for basic, credit, management and financial processes, Fincon Reply colleagues took on responsibility for managing work packages in addition to processing project tasks. In addition, the cut-over management was accompanied by Fincon Reply employees, thus ensuring the go-live. The coordination of source systems, data migration and ensuring business continuity were key challenges.

The Result

After a very successful go-live in October 2023, UmweltBank seamlessly started its business operations under agree21. Currently, the UmweltBank and Fincon Reply teams continue to work together on optimizations to provide customers and employees with the maximum potential of agree21.
