Luigi's interest for statistical analysis began during his University studies and quickly turned into a passion for Big Data and Analytics. He is staying up-to-date thanks to the main sector sources, but he does not consider himself an expert and would like to find a place to discuss and share his questions. Online reading and research do not allow him to start a dialogue with someone who has his own interests and who may be part of the same company.
The solution: For a few months the company where Luigi works has promoted participation in a new format that uses an internal communication platform. We are talking about the Jam Session, an online event with a set duration which, with regular frequency and starting from a specific topic, stimulates an online discussion by generating ideas and proposals. Luigi was one of the first to enroll in the thematic Jam Session dedicated to Big Data. He participated in a discussion with colleagues from other branches on the liveboard; he responded to the instant polls launched by the community manager and was amazed by the statistics that, in real time, revealed how many other people in the company share his interests. The organizers of the initiative were also very happy with the results. In just a few steps they were able to create a new environment for discussion; make available engaging editorial tools that can highlight the most crucial moments of the dialogue; launch polls and countdowns; quote participants in the conversation and group similar comments.
Luigi, marketing office, 30 years old : “A fast-paced online event that for two hours allowed us to brainstorm topics that interest me. The most effective statements were highlighted by the community manager who always kept the subject of the discussion clear."
